Track & Report Your Success With Conversion Tracking
What is Conversion Tracking?
Conversion tracking is a fancy term for ‘tracking what you want people to do on your website’. For example, if you have an e-commerce website, you want people to buy something. For other websites, you may want people to complete a form, phone you, click an email address, or join your email subscription list.
Each of these actions is called an ‘event’, and conversion tracking captures these important events and stores the data in website analytics software like Google Analytics.
Conversion tracking is included with your Google Ads setup Service.
Why Have Conversion Tracking?
With conversion tracking, there is no more guessing!
The data from conversion tracking shows us what’s working (so we can do more of it) and what’s not working (so we can stop doing it). This ends up saving you a lot of money!
Each month, you get a detailed report showing how many sales, leads, etc. came to your business from Google Ads, and from the rest of your website.
Conversion Tracking Setup
Before we start your Google Ads advertising campaigns, we need to set up conversion tracking. To do this, I will:
Install Google Tag Manager
I will install Google Tag Manager (free product) on your website and configure it to capture phone clicks, email clicks, form completions, e-commerce transactions, etc.
Configure Google Analtyics 4 (GA4)
I will set Google Analytics (GA4) to capture conversions and generate reports. In addition, GA4 will also be linked to your Google Ads account, and Google Search Console.
Set Conversions in Google Ads
I will import the conversions from Google Analytics to your Google Ads account. This data is invaluable for automated bidding, and making advertising decisions.
Link Google Ads to Your Google Search Console
This final step allows Search Console and Google Ads to exchange data about keywords to ensure strong performing keywords in Search Console are being used appropriately in Google Ads.

Conversion Tracking is Required
Bird’s Eye Marketing requires customers to have conversion tracking enabled for Google Ads Management. If you have it enabled, I will review it. If you do not have it enabled, I will set it up for you.
